What’s the market like in your area?
March 26, 2007Is your area of service experiencing a “bubble”? I focus on Whatcom County, which is in the Northwest corner of Washington state. We currently have about 8.5 months worth of inventory available. (Buyers market) The condo market is skewing the numbers because of all of the recent construction and conversions. There is over a years worth of condos currently on the market in Whatcom County.
The bright side for this area is that the 2010 Winter Olympics are to be held just north of here and I-5 travels right through our county. We do expect another housing surge because of all of the extra publicity we’ll receive.
I’m very interested to hear what’s going on in other parts of the country.
